It’s easy to sit around talking of an evening as we’re meeting such great people everywhere.<\/p>\n
Joe had a crack at some school work today. I got on with planning, repacking stuff in truck, making phone calls etc.<\/p>\n
On day 3 we visited the possibly smallest school we’ll go to en route. \u00a0The little Chandler school at Woolomombi 45 kms out of Armidale. \u00a0Joe has been doing a great job as the ‘media man’. \u00a0He took some fabulous shots from the top of the truck of Esther coming up through the gorge country over the Great Dividing Range. \u00a0Note-the truck was stopped at the time!<\/p>\n

I took Lofty and Titan into Quirindi (20kms approx) to meet up with John Dillon a farrier who reshod Lofty beside the race track (we had gallopers doing track work and he was pretty cool about it all.) \u00a0John has to be the best set up farrier I’ve ever met. \u00a0He hot shod Lofty and was able to grind shoes, weld on rods to the toe of the shoes \u00a0drill holes all easily. \u00a0I was blown away with his set up. \u00a0Also did the best job on Lofty and set him up really nicely. \u00a0Lofty had worn his rear shoes out in the first week! We’re using tungstan ‘plugs’ in all the other shoes, somehow his plugs fell out of his hinds. \u00a0They’re making a big difference to the wear of the shoes. \u00a0Last year on my trek I was having to re-shoe every 10-14 days.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"http:\/\/ride4acure.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/You-know-your-a-bogan-when..-112x150.jpg\" "\\"You")
