{"id":1507,"date":"2012-01-20T14:37:24","date_gmt":"2012-01-20T03:37:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ride4acure.com.au\/?p=1507"},"modified":"2012-01-26T07:33:44","modified_gmt":"2012-01-25T20:33:44","slug":"2012-whats-on-the-horizon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ride4acure.com.au\/?p=1507","title":{"rendered":"2012 what&#8217;s on the horizon&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>2012 is the year of consolidation for ride4acure. \u00a0A time to frankly and strategically look at our achievements, challenges and hopes so that after three years, take a good look at where we\u2019ve been and where we\u2019re going!\u00a0 I have the passion and drive \u00a0to keep growing the education and awareness side of ride4acure through developing resources that help raise awareness of skin cancer and melanoma. And of course to continue to fundraise for the Hannah Rose Melanoma Research Fund (raising to date over $107 000) \u00a0that is targeting research into adolescent and young adult melanoma \u00a0under the awesome direction of <a href=\"http:\/\/sixtyminutes.ninemsn.com.au\/stories\/927744\/lifesaver-cancer\">Professor Grant McArthur<\/a> from PeterMac (check out the Sixty Minutes video from 2009 highlighting some of Grants research and clinical trials -Grant was Hannah\u2019s doctor at PeterMac. )<\/p>\n<p>I have goals to develop &#8216;Mela-What?&#8217; (the multi-media presentation I created early 2009 that has now been seen by over 22 000 people) \u00a0and to \u00a0launch it online as a resource for schools and communities to access. Stage 1 of \u2018Mela-What?
